i saw avishai cohen (bass) perform at the blue note last night. shai maestro played the played the piano and mark guiliana was on drums. i’ve been lucky enough to see some great jazz shows this summer but this was by far one of my favorites.
ahhh, I got to see Neil Young at MSG last night (12/15). last minute surprise. i love this man. sooooo happy. msg isn’t my fav, esp. for this kind of concert, but i loved every minute regardless. everest and wilco opened and then neil came on and played for over two hours (!)
yay, dr. dog ! saw them on tuesday night at webster hall. not my favorite venue really but i really liked the show. the stage was a kind of jungle and the music was on point. stealing this description from a friend because it fits… dr. dog sounds like beach boys meets sex pistols.
