I had the opportunity to have dinner at Blue Hill this past weekend. I am a fan of the food - very fresh, seasonal, straightforward, plain old good. We got hooked up and although I can’t remember every single thing but we had some killer cherry tomatoes (this description sounds overboard, but seriously), “this morning’s egg”, gazpacho, this amazing bread with pork lard butter (ridic) + tomato salt (for dipping), tomato financiers, sweet corn ravioli, summer grass-fed turkey, berkshire pork, chilled watermelon soup with melon ice, and a fresh berry parfait with whipped creme fraiche (i think). all in all, really yummy and i didn’t leave feeling overwhelmingly stuffed. the wine pairings by claire, the sommelier, were also really nice.
