i saw avishai cohen (bass) perform at the blue note last night. shai maestro played the played the piano and mark guiliana was on drums. i’ve been lucky enough to see some great jazz shows this summer but this was by far one of my favorites.

I had the opportunity to have dinner at Blue Hill this past weekend.  I am a fan of the food - very fresh, seasonal, straightforward, plain old good.  We got hooked up and although I can’t remember every single thing but we had some killer cherry tomatoes (this description sounds overboard, but seriously), “this morning’s egg”, gazpacho, this amazing bread with pork lard...

I am excited to see the Louise Bourgeois at the Guggenheim. The exhibition has been up since June and runs through September 28th. The first time that I saw anything by Louise Bourgeois was during a trip to Pompidou for an art history course in college.  Precious Liquids (below) was one of my favorites.
